Elvis is in the Building A writing competition from the people who brought you Pub Scripts A reminder that there’s still time to submit a pub script featuring Elvis Presley before the 31 July deadline. Everyone has a story... if yours is for two actors, maximum 10 minutes long and something to do with Elvis, we want to read it! Usually seen as the overspill from a Festival the main thing about a Fringe event is that the performers are SELF-SELECTING. No-one invites you, you just come along. This year the Book Town wants to give everyone a chance to try their writings out on the public – no age limits and no selection process – just a chance for anyone and everyone (from age 16) to perform their play or skit, recite, tell stories, stand-up, or simply read extracts from THEIR MASTERPIECES! You can choose the time of day you want, anytime between 10 am and 10 pm – you choose the size and type of venue, theatre, meeting room, street, churchyard, tent - venues to seat up to 150 audience are available. We will supply basic lighting and sound.
